You do a lot with a little. We get that.

CRM…..

When Ryan Watt became Executive Director of Indie Memphis, voted one of MovieMaker’s 2019 Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals, he knew that taking Indie Memphis to the next level would require strengthening its relationships with Members, Ticket Buyers, Donors, Board Members, Sponsors, Filmmakers, Volunteers and Staff.  To do that, he needed a CRM, but, like most film festivals, Indie Memphis didn’t have the money or the expertise to know what to do next.

Ryan’s first step was to figuring out how to fund his CRM vision. He began by going to a local arts funding organization, where he shared his exciting vision for the future of Indie Memphis and the critical role a well-functioning CRM would play in getting there. His grant request was quickly approved.

For technical expertise, Ryan engaged Andy Alsenas, who has extensive experience in designing, developing, integrating and launching software for sales and marketing applications, including CRMs.

Ryan and Andy documented Indie Memphis’s requirements and data sources, then compared a bunch of CRM products, looking for one that was just right for a fast-growing film festival. When Indie Memphis chose the best CRM for their particular needs, Andy worked with the CRM vendor to configure it so that it would align with Indie Memphis’s data, people and processes. Then he helped them onboard it.

A key need was to be sure the CRM could access historical data from Eventive, the innovative ticketing platform that handles all aspects of the film screening experience. Indie Memphis also wanted to automate the future syncing of Eventive data with the CRM. Because Indie Memphis was an Eventive client from the beginning, Ryan and Andy were very familiar with the platform and were able to do just that.

They will work through your particular data needs as well — including automating the way data moves from Eventive to your new CRM. Together, you’ll develop processes that tell you what you need to know about your important stakeholder groups in a way that makes them reliable and actionable.
